Gorge-ous

Sorry. Couldn't resist that. This is a great biking road. Sadly wet (for a change) but still fun. While taking this pic an American man came to chat. He's a biker too. Loved the bike and the mirrors! He knew his bikes too as he said he was sure they didn't have this model over there. His parting comment: 'wish I'd left the wife and brought my bike'!

It's a shame it was so wet GD. Those roads are much better in the dry. Around the top of the gorge and over the Mendips you have some great twisties and long empty straights. It's biking heaven on a warm summers day
I hope you climbed Jacob's ladder GD? Thats just what you need to get the circulation going first thing in the morning and the view from the top is fantastic.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the trip,
Cheers, The N3RD
I missed out on the sun but I still enjoyed the road mate. One thing I've discovered is that the pain is not a big turn-off for me. i actually don't mind it. I've enjoyed the ride whatever the weather. Even the cat and fiddle was fun. What was a problem was stopping every 20 to 30 mins in the peeing rain to try and read a map. But now that's fixed I can get on and enjoy it. Hadn't time for the ladder sadly but the roads were great.
Lol! Should have been 'rain', not 'pain'!
